Health and Safety Officer

As our part time Health and Safety Officer, you will provide health and safety guidance and support to managers across our businesses which enhances the strong H&S culture already in place. Collaborative in-approach, a proven self-starter you will drive improvements to our H&S operating system, support the implementation of best practice and accelerate our health and safety progress towards ensuring readiness for ISO 45001 accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the departments to proactively facilitate and personally deliver health and safety solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Support management with the communication and enhancement of our H&S operating model including support and advice to H&S Committees
• Enhance our risk management processes and tools supporting line management to deliver effective risk assessments
• Oversee processes to ensure effective training, compliance and fit-for purpose equipment checks are optimised
• Define and deliver processes, campaigns and programmes that enhance our Health and Safety culture

Who are we looking for?

You will have a relevant H&S qualification, be an effective relationship builder, well organised and bring authority and drive to the role. Comfortable being hands-on but capable too of providing strategic direction, you will be an excellent influencer with an ability to make things happen through close collaboration.

This role is part-time with working hours arranged to suit the right candidate. We anticipate to fulfil the role satisfactorily it will require 18 – 23 hours per week.
