The Priory Hospital Middleton St George is located close to Darlington, County Durham and provides individualised treatment and care for people with mental health needs of adults who present with complex and challenging behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment. Our comprehensive integrated services offer complete care pathways allowing service users to transfer effortlessly between the most appropriate care, meeting individual needs enabling recovery and re-engagement within the community and maximising life opportunities.

Our multi-disciplinary teams provide care for up to 110 male and female service users, working collaboratively with their commissioners, across our 8 wards and our nearby community house. Our focus is on the delivery of excellent care, empowering service users to progress towards the least restrictive setting and towards independence. Our vision is to place our Service Users at the heart of our service provision, working closely with them and their carers to support their recovery and rehabilitation.

Station Road is residential service situated in a residential area of Darlington and provides care for up to three individuals with mental health problems. People using the service were previously patients at the Priory Hospital Middleton St George and are moving towards returning to the community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Community House, Station Road, Darlington as a Healthcare Assistant.

The successful candidate will be part of the Community House Team and will assist in the collaberative planning and delivery of Service User care. This will include responsibility for supporting planned Service User leaves, undertaking escorting and driving duties. When carrying out driving duties you will ensure that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route whilst complying at all times with the Priory Driving Policy.

The days of work will mainly be Monday to Friday but there will be a need for flexibility as some weekend work, early starts and late finishes will be required depending on Service User needs. When this happens alternative rest days will be planned as part of your working week.
