Print Operative

Job title – Print Operator

Responsible to – Production Manager

Department – Production

Purpose and Objective:

Day to day running as a team 2 x Ricoh 8220’s cut sheet mono’s, 2 x Ricoh 9000’s cut sheet colour. Screen Inkjet, Hunkeler Bookline & Laminators. Printing books of 1 and up to 2000 copies for daily orders/feeds. Ensure all jobs are completed on time, efficiently and to high standard of quality.

Main duties:

· Day to Day running of the digital & inkjet print rooms.

· Ensure all Production KPI’s are achieved.

· Continuous development/improvement of operational methods, working practices and equipment to improve efficiency and meet the ongoing demands of the business.

· Ensure all jobs schedules are followed and to make maximum use of the resources available.

· Follow Lean Manufacturing principles within the company.

· Support Finishing & Dispatch departments as and when required.

Safety Responsibilities

· Ensure a good tidy working environment in the factory and office. Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Equipment Responsibilities

· Ensure that all machinery is in good working order and complies with Health and Safety.

Special working conditions

· May be required to work shift work depending on work load and if authorised by the Managing Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Peterborough: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
