Position Overview & Specifications
Corporation Road Surgery is under new management. However, we will still be delivering the same exceptional, patient focused service and working hard to develop the practice even further. With this being our main priority, we are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant that has worked in a GP setting previously. As the practice grows, we are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join the expanding team and work full time alongside our current Clinicians.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will assist the GP's and Nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality primary care services to our patients. We are passionate about advancing Primary Care to meet the current and future challenges and strive to be resilient and sustainable whilst providing high-quality care.
The Role;
- £11:00 - per hour
- Full time, permanent contract
The Candidate;
- Experience of working in a clinical environment
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of clinical computer systems
- Good communication skills with both colleagues and patients/clients
- Ability to self-motivate, organise and prioritise own workload, with good organisation and time management skills
A normal day in the life of a healthcare Assistant involves the following:
· New patient health checks
· Baseline observations
· BP Monitoring and relevant advice given
· Wound care, dressings
· Flu vaccinations – when trained
Interested applicants should be in possession of relevant formal qualifications and have demonstrable experience and competence in the role of a Health Care Assistant, with experience in General Practice and with essential skills in the job summary
