Position Overview & Specifications
We have an amazing opportunity for a Post Office Counter Clerk / Retail Sales Assistant to join our team and help with the day-to-day operation of our office. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, weighing, and stamping packages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering data into our system, filing documents, and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. You must be willing to train as a store assistant.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· To deliver excellent customer service with great standards.
· To use relevant processes and policies to ensure the security of people, stock and cash
· Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
· Process payments and invoices.
· Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Min 16 Hours per week. (more when store needs)
Flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends and evenings.
Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Part-time hours: 16 - 35 per week

- Newport, NP19: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service (preferred)
- Administrative experience (preferred)

- Driving Licence (preferred)
