Our client specialises in the repair, replacement, management and maintenance services of electrical and mechanical equipment. With over 25 years of experience in the electro-mechanical maintenance services.

Their repairs workshop is one of the largest in the UK and represents a three million pounds investment.

They have an exciting new opening for a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice – this would be the perfect role for a School Leaver or somebody that has studied Engineering at College.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Apprentice:

• Dismantle, assess, and determine reason for failure of motors and gearboxes
• Test and measure individual components
• Measuring/assessing wear, damage etc
• Produce a scope of work for repair
• Reassemble
• Static, dynamic and load testing
• Set up feedback devices

Skills & Experience Required:

• Knowledge of motors and associated gearboxes, their operation and repair techniques
• Maths, English & Science GSCE with pass rate 5 & above
• Proven organisational skills
• Enthusiastic, with the drive to be build a career in Mechanical Engineering
• Understanding of modern repair techniques
