MET Technician

MET Technician- Accident and Repair Centre- Castleford

• Basic Salary up to £45,000 – Depending on experience
• OTE £50,250
• Monday-Friday 7:00-16:00, NO weekends.

I have an Accident and Repair Centre client who is looking for an experienced MET Technician for their large and busy site that is based in Castleford.

The ideal MET Technician will be level 3 qualified and will be confident in their MET abilities and have good working background in an Accident and Repair Centre.

What is needed of the MET Technician:

• Level 3 MET qualification – IMI/ATA.
• Great mechanical and suspension knowledge.
• LCV knowledge – Highly beneficial.
• Able to prepare, prime and mask panels.
• Has experience working with plastic panels.
• Aircon qualification – Highly beneficial.
• Able to multi task jobs.
• Can complete job cards correctly and advise of repairs and time scales.
• Can work to tight deadlines.

The successful MET Technician will be required to:

• Assess faults
• Follow job cards and assessment reports
• Access and remove mechanical and electrical components
• Remove and fit non-structural body panels
• Remove and re-install mechanical and electrical systems
• Follow vehicle valeting requirements and prospect
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
