RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT (FULL TIME)

Things are hotting up at PAU Run & Ride, Blakemere and we're on the look out for an experienced Retail Sales Assistant to share the work load and help us to deliver a world class service customer service experience to our customers both face to fae and online.

The successful candidate will be based at our Blakemere Store (Northwich) and will have key holder responsibility. They will deal with customers on the shop floor, making sales, upselling and cross selling accessories, help respond to online enquiries and contribute to online order fulfilment tasks as required. You’ll be an important member of our team as we continue to grow our presence and establish PAU Run & Ride as the cycle shop of choice in all our locations.

Our team will always seek to drive awareness of our brand and product offerings and promote our fabulous bike servicing and repair proposition in store, in the local community and on social media, with the objective of achieving service center and sales targets, whilst consistently exceeding customer expectations.

The ability to drive a transit van would be an advantage; you must be highly self motivated, knowledgeable about cycling and running and keen to help maintain an outstanding brand reputation for PAU Run & Ride - trust and credibility are key as you’ll be an integral part of the team.

Job Details:

A full time, permanent role of approx 40 hours per week delivered over 7 days on a rotating shift pattern and including weekends and bank holidays (on rota, typically working 5 days out of 7), with occasional evenings to support seasonal opening.

Annual leave entitlement of 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays.

As part of a small team, commitment and flexibility are essential.

Salary Expectations:

Starting salary will be £21,673 per annum (£10.42/hour). For an exceptional candidate we may consider an increase to £22,880 (£11/hour).

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greet clients in store with enthusiasm and establish rapport to quickly and efficiently identify their needs.
• Endeavour to cross sell and upsell products where possible.
• Contribute to the marketing and promotion of the store and the cycle repair and servicing proposition locally using various social media platforms.
• Address customer feedback resolving queries quickly and efficiently.
• Support colleagues with coaching and knowledge sharing to maximise efficiency and enhance customer experience.
• Fulfilment of online orders.
• Maintain safe storage conditions keeping the area tidy and monitoring stock levels
• Other store duties as directed by the store manager.

Essential:

• Reliable and trust worthy key holder
• Experience in a retail environment
• Driven, self motivated and passionate about cycling and running
• Great communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Be a team player, self-motivated and able to use own initiative.

Desirable

• Keen cyclist/runner and knowledgeable about cycling and running
• Experience of working in a retail/customer service environment is also beneficial
• Experience using social media platforms
• Willing to train and develop own skill set.
