Full Time, Permanent - Academic

This post is based in the School of the Built Environment, a motivated and multidisciplinary environment with a strong tradition of excellence in teaching underpinned by world-class research and strong industry links in the professional fields of real estate, construction, urban design and planning.

You will be responsible for:

Teaching on construction and real estate programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Pursuing research and knowledge transfer activities
Seeking external funding for research and knowledge transfer
Supervising higher degree students
Leading programmes and curriculum development
Leading the development of new educational initiatives.

You should have:

A good first degree and/or post-graduate degree in building surveying, architectural technology, building science or other construction related discipline
Substantive industry or teaching experience in building surveying and/or architectural technology
The potential to develop and sustain externally funded research and knowledge transfer work
The potential or track record of publishing in high quality refereed journals
The ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students
The ability to develop and lead new programmes
The ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships
Experience of successfully working as part of a multi-professional team.
