Position Overview & Specifications

Test Analyst

Location: Lincoln

Salary: up to £45,000 per annum, with hybrid working.

About the role

The Tester will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT and Business process change testing activities, including creating the Test strategy for the Projects, work closely with the Business Analyst, ensuring the scope and business requirements are understood and planned to be tested efficiently.

The Trust has embarked on a major business change programme improving its systems and processes and is undergoing a review and refresh of its core applications. This role is new to the Trust and the individual will be expected to be a self-starter who will help lead the direction of these activities.

About You

The Tester/Systems Tester will be involved in the delivery of the testing of the business process improvements as part of the Trust’s transformation strategy including the testing of the “End to End” business capabilities.

Other skills and experience required include:

  • Draft and review testing strategies and test plans for all business and IT related projects.
  • Undertake all forms of testing including System, Regression, System Integration, User Acceptance, Stress, Performance, Usability and Functional / Non-Functional testing etc.
  • Plan across all test stages of the project life cycle, obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off.
  • Ensure testing is delivered to specified requirements and meets agreed time, cost, quality and compliance objectives.
  • Be responsible for all hands-on testing against agreed test plans, recording testing progress and defects.
  • Report progress at agreed intervals to project stakeholders.
  • Risk identification, documentation, and impact assessment, including action mitigation
