Wood Assembler

Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd are working with a company based in the Howden area. We are looking for members of staff to be based In workshop to manufacture/assist in the manufacturing of bespoke timber buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Cutting cladding/framework by hand to bespoke measurements
• Making bespoke measurement timber framing for panels including gables, roofs and floors.
• Cladding pre made timber frames to bespoke measurements for panels including gables, roofs and floors.
• Manufacturing timber doors and windows – some to bespoke measurements
• Loading/unloading vehicles with the buildings
• Ensuring the loaded vehicles have all tools and additional ironmongery.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and as an individual, be able to follow verbal and written instructions,

Requirements:

• Experience of using a nail gun, cross cut saw, band saw or working in a similar environment is an advantage
• Hand tools and power tools

Benefits:

• 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday working 7:00am – 3:00pm, with 2 daily paid breaks of 30 minutes.
• There is opportunity for optional weekday overtime. Occasional weekend work is required, this is usually during our busy period.
• Hi-Vis vests and other PPE will be supplied.

Please Note:

• There is no canteen on site but we have tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave.
• There is a café located on the industrial estate which staff can purchase food/drinks at cost.
• Must have own safety boots or trainers.

Own transport is needed as due to location there are no public transport routes.
