Job description

Environment- Summer Degree Intern

We would like to present an excellent opportunity for first- and second-year degree students interested in working in Local Authority and Environment. You will need to be available from June to August inclusive for 30 hours per week.

Details:

June 12th until September 8th 2023

12 weeks fixed term

Monday to Friday (to be agreed which 4 days)

30 hours per week

Possible agile working-on occasion

Based at Doughty Depot Grimsby with potential to visit other sites

We are seeking a committed and motivated student who can work independently in areas which may involve:

Contributing to the Council’s Green Agenda by working with departments across the Council to ensure environmental targets are being met.
The opportunity to participate in a variety of projects involving different departments across the organisation.
Encouraging community engagement and sustainable actions.
Communicating and promoting the health and wellbeing benefits of being in the natural environment.
Activities to Increase biodiversity across the borough.
Partnership working to achieve our green vision.
