Position Overview & Specifications
Accountant
Nextbase is a leading provider of manufacturing support services to the global automotive industry. We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team based in our new offices in London. This role is a permanent role and office-based reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
What you will be doing...
· Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and management reporting
· Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis and ownership of key balance sheet accounts – such as fixed assets and bank
· Variance analysis – eg overhead budgets – with a proactive approach to problem solving
· Assisting with cash management by ensuring that all banks are reconciled on a daily basis and producing daily cash and availability reports
· Issue regular weekly/bi-weekly sales reporting – eg invoiced to date, new orders etc
· Ad hoc reporting and tasks as and when required
· Assisting with year-end audit
· Provide capacity/holiday cover for other members of the transactional finance team
The ideal candidate for this role will...
· Studying for professional qualification
· Be able to work towards tight deadlines to complete the production of management accounts and completing the month end routines
· Be commercially aware and confident liaising with stakeholders across the business
· Be ambitious and career driven, wanting to work in a fast paced, creative environment
· Have an analytical, problem solving mindset with a strong attention to detail
· Advanced excel skills would be advantageous
· Sage Intacct experience desirable
· Willing to take ownership of key tasks and responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
