Position Overview & Specifications

We are working with an award winning, sustainability focussed creative agency who offer strategy and consultancy through to reports, comms, campaign and content for a diverse client roster. The agency is well established and has built a reputation based around its strategical approach, creative output and the emphasis is places on truly understanding the brands that they work with and their goals with regards to Sustainability. This allows them to produce exceptional work for some of the biggest brands globally, that is executed to the highest standard and has meant that they have retained clients as well as winning new ones year on year.

The agency in question are looking for a talented creative copywriter to join their collaborative and friendly team. The role will involve working directly with clients, consultants, strategy and design (as well as other internal agency teams) and writing extremely engaging and creative short and medium form copy that really grabs the audiences’ attention.

The briefs that you will work on will require a high degree of creativity, and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to take complex information / data and create impactful messages. The work will be varied and include creating and defining brand concepts and messaging to represent the clients voice and vision. You’ll work across web copy, social, video, consumer facing campaigns, and other digital content amongst other internal and external comms. The agency focusses on sustainability and corporate responsibility and are interested in candidates with a background in advertising / integrated campaign work due to the nature of the comms being produced. Some corporate communications / storytelling of some kind would also be ideal. A passion or interest and knowledge about environmental, social and economic responsibility would also be a big advantage.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Creative writing and strategic thinking skills
  • Previous experience in business communications, campaign work and / or corporate storytelling
  • Experience creating brand concepts, brand narrative and write key messages
  • A good knowledge or genuine interest in sustainability issues
  • An ability to distil key messages from complex or technical information
  • An aptitude for writing for different channels, including digital and social media
  • An ability to build client relationships and comfortable talking through / presenting ideas.
