Position Overview & Specifications
At Neal's Yard Remedies, we're looking for an excellent Admin Assistant / Inspector to support our fast-paced Quality team at our beautiful eco-factory in Gillingham, Dorset.
Must have knowledge and experience of QC/QA systems and GMP requirements within the cosmetic, food or pharma industry. Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills are essential.
Working Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week
Role Responsibilities:
Admin:
- To carry out basic checks on all packing paperwork prior to scanning for QC Manager review.
- To log retained samples of packing batches.
- Managing SEDEX platform in conjunction with the Procurement team.
- Reviewing completed Supplier self-assessment questionnaires in conjunction with the Procurement team.
- Assist Quality Administrator with maintaining supplier monitoring system (animal testing, non-GMO declarations, supplier certifications).
- To assist Head of Quality with managing ISO-accredited Quality Management System including document control, training records, non-conformances and internal audit schedules.
- To assist the Head of Quality with writing & amending SOPs related to major projects including ERP.
Inspections:
- To support the Quality Inspections team with incoming inspections of components and third party goods and outgoing inspections of Japan shipments.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal quality system requirements to ISO 17025 standards.
- Ensure compliance with all externally audited systems including ISO 22716, MHRA, FDA, GMP and HACCP.
- Assist Head of Quality with audits from external bodies and feedback reports relating to those audits.
- Assist Head of Quality with corrective and preventative action plans.
Person specification:
Essential:
- Knowledge and experience of QC/QA systems and GMP requirements within cosmetic, food or pharma industry
- Able to demonstrate excellent organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and written/spoken English
- Confidence to work under own initiative, yet take direction well
- Able to plan and manage own time effectively
Ideal:
- Experience with Q-Pulse for audit and non-conformance management
- Experience with social and ethical audits
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
