Full Job Description

Position: Video & Media Assistant

Salary: Up to £22,000 pro rata for part time

Location: Crawley, RH11 – Essential that this is commutable

Hours: Part Time Position. Full Time with progression.

NO WEEKENDS

Holidays: 28 Days per annum (Includes bank holidays)

What you need:

  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • A passion for video and film.
  • An interest in media production and marketing.
  • The ability to work well with others
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software.
  • To be flexible and open to change.
  • The ability to use your initiative and possess a creative mind
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

What you will be responsible for:

The role will be centred around Post-Production initially, with a view to progress into the other stages of production (filming, recording) and marketing (SEO, social media management)

  • Organising raw footage and audio into the system
  • Trim and aligning clips/footage, colour grading and audio cleaning.
  • Formatting the video sequences for different platforms
  • Making appealing thumbnails for the videos
  • Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications

Responsibilities that may come later:

  • Shooting & directing videos
  • Contribute to Media assets: audio, music, visuals, graphics and effects
  • Contribute to & review final cuts
  • Consult with colleagues.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

We are a very down to earth office and always treat each other like equals. We are looking for someone who will always be open to suggestions and ideas in improving their processes etc.

This role will initially be part time hours, with the view to become full time with progression.

We will also consider someone without the required experience who has a strong interest and passion in Video Editing and eager to learn. We will train you fully.
