Exams Invigilator (PT)

• Position: IELTS Exam Invigilator - Guilford.
• Job type: flexible weekend work.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Pay: £11 plus holiday pay.

• We are looking for up to 5 new invigilators to help administer LitUK (Life in the UK) and all other exams delivered at our test venue. It is a busy environment and can be a stressful day for our test takers, so this role will suit people who are calm and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
• This role would suit someone looking for flexible, piecemeal and part-time work. On average, invigilators work 3 or 4 days each month.
• Invigilators report to the Chief Invigilator, who coordinates the test on the day.

• Preparing the room, i.e. putting up clocks, start and finish time notices and seating plans.
• Register test takers as they arrive.
• Admitting test takers to the exam room in a quiet and orderly way.
• Conducting the exam according to the regulations of the exam provider.
• Being constantly vigilant to ensure exam regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Returning all confidential materials to the Exams Officer at the end of the test.
• Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of our test takers.

• Good command of the English language.

• A good eye for detail.
• Great customer service skills.
• Willingness to undertake training.
• Punctual and reliable.

• Payments are made a month in arrears, provided you submit a valid timesheet by the end of each month.
• The rate of pay per hour is £11 plus holiday pay.
