Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for an experienced Architect or Technologist to join our team in central Plymouth.
We have been established for almost 40 years and work on a very wide range of projects including Passivhaus, energy/carbon retrofit, historic buildings, individual houses, affordable housing schemes, specialist housing and commercial buildings.
We are looking for a candidate who can deliver and work on projects in a variety of sizes and complexity across mainly residential and commercial. This is the chance to join an exceptional medium sized reputable company with a very friendly team who are all very sociable and supportive.
We offer flexible working on either a full or part time basis within a collaborative open plan office environment.
The Role:
- Producing working drawing packages
- Liaising with consultants and clients
- Lead and manage technical design projects
- Attending site meetings
- Measured surveys and site inspections
The Candidate:
- Proficient in Revit is preferred but training/support will be given
- Proficient in AutoCAD is mandatory
- UK based professional practice experience required
- Excellent communication skills and work well in a team and independently
- Technical ability and capability to take full responsibility for own workload
- Architectural or Technologist Degree
- A minimum of two years industry experience is required
Other requirements:
- Knowledge of producing working technical drawings
- Knowledge of technical legislation including current Building Regulation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and designs
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Current UK Driving Licence
