CAD Designer

Serving Sussex and the surrounding areas, we are the leading company in bespoke garden room construction, design and planning. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Sketchup designer and Account Manager. The candidate will be capable of managing projects from concept to completion whilst building client and supplier relationships.

This is advertised as a Monday to Friday role, but we are willing to hear from candidates who can work four days a week. The candidate will work alongside our director and architectural technician at an office in Haywards Heath and remotely on other days.

As the job role will involve client visits, easy access to areas such as Horsham, Haywards Heath, Brighton, Worthing, Guildford, Sevenoaks is required. Many of our jobs are not accessible via public transport and so a vehicle & driving licence are required (with fuel reimbursed).

Responsibilities:

• To collaborate with our clients to understand their requirements, preferences and budget for their garden room project.
• To design innovative garden room designs using Sketchup that align with our client's needs.
• Where necessary, carry out local site visits to clients ahead of preparing their garden room design. (Fuel to be reimbursed)
• To prepare 3D renderings and detailed quotations.
• Work closely with our carpentry team by creating design plans and making sure these are implemented.
• Liaising with suppliers on lead-times and sourcing new suppliers where necessary for more unique projects.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project cycle.
• Assist with social media graphics and images via Canva or Photoshop.
• Visiting completed jobs to take photographs that can be used in our promotional material.

Qualifications & Skills required:

• Experience in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup or similar tools.
• Driving licence.
• Proven experience in design & account management with a portfolio showcasing successful projects (Desired, but not necessary if you are at the start of your career)
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and our team.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creativity and business development.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
