Position Overview & Specifications

Organisational Information

MidKent College is at the heart of the education sector in South East England, and a College which Ofsted recognised as Good for overall effectiveness, in a November 2018 inspection.

As a progressive student-centred College, we are now looking for an MIS Apprentice.

Details of the role

The successful candidate will provide bespoke support to the MIS department, whilst developing a wide range of competencies to meet the appropriate vocational standards of performance relevant to the qualification, including developing skills in communication, Numeracy and ICT and the technical knowledge required for the relevant Apprenticeship Standard (Data Technician Level 3).

This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 6 July 2023.

The salary range is £10,158.72 - £20,625.28 per annum as National Minimum Wage in accordance with the age bracket.

Job Requirements

You will have 5 GCSE passes or equivalent standard qualifications, including English & Mathematics.

You will have the ability to deliver reliable customer service, and to develop good customer relationships and resolving problems, whilst presenting a positive image of yourself and MidKent College.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage workloads, tasks and responsibilities effectively and complete relevant assignments and projects relating to the apprenticeship qualification on-time; Work effectively as part of a team, liaising with colleagues, organising and supporting meetings/ events as directed, achieving set targets/ objectives/ deadlines and following management instructions. In addition, be able to use internal systems effectively and in accordance with College processes, procedures and policies, using manual and computerised records to store, retrieve and archive information.
