My client is a non-profit organisation based in Central London that works with businesses and government leaders around the world to address climate change. The organisation has programmes focusing on renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The organisations main offices are in the UK but also operate in the U.S and India..

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior events, content or conference producer to join a highly ambitious team. The role will be responsible for leading on the programming of the event content, themes, and agendas for award winning, global events with high profile guest speakers.

  • Lead the development and delivery of the event content strategy and create all the event content
  • Input ideas and strategic knowledge into the development of our events including objectives, key messaging and themes
  • Continually maintain a holistic view of what colleagues are seeking to achieve in their work to help support events content development
  • Drive innovation in event management, building own knowledge and experience of the sector, bench marking our work in this area externally developing new events approaches and partnerships
  • Identify high-level speakers that sit both within and outside of our networks and drive engaging them in events.
  • Brief speakers, arrange pre-event panel briefing calls, attend filming sessions for the event, leverage other support in this when needed/available
  • Take ownership of commitments to speakers and follow-ups
  • Support in sponsorship liaison and management in collaboration with Business Development team. Identify new partners we should be engaging and pro-actively create a strategy on how to drive this forward
  • Be a senior voice in discussions on new ways of engaging target audiences, assist the Senior Events Marketing Officer to attract these attendees
  • Line manage the Events Content Officer, ensure they are supported in their work and the correct appraisal process is followed

The Successful Applicant

  • An impactful leader with the ability to drive forward ideas, build coalitions and negotiate complex networks
  • Ability to contribute strategically to the events strategy
  • Demonstrate a deep and detailed knowledge and understanding of climate issues, with reference to corporate sustainability issues
  • Experience in senior stakeholder management with the ability to effectively influence and provide constructive challenge when required
  • Proven success in developing and delivering impactful projects and complex event agendas in a global environment
  • Experience working in partnership with the private sector and ideally with senior/board level personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultural contexts
