Implementation Consultant – Darwin (Mercer) – London - Hybrid

About the team

Our New Business Delivery team are responsible for implementing Darwin to our clients, by understanding their benefit scheme, consulting on Darwin capabilities and capturing technical requirements. The team plays a critical role in helping our clients realize value from their investment in our technology.

The role: Darwin Implementation Consultant

This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Implementation Consultant to make a business & client impact by supporting Darwin projects across clients in the UK & Continental Europe. We value our Consultants and trust them to support a project team to deliver Darwin. They are responsible for both the quality and output of Darwin solution. They may perform complex configuration of Darwin when required or support Configuration specialists.

We will rely on you to:

  • Acting as a point of contact for clients during a new project or change request.
  • Working with a Project Coordinator on project plans, actions lists, and risk & issues logs in line with Thomsons methodology
  • Working directly with clients to understand their benefits scheme and consult on Darwin capabilities. This could include attending meetings onsite.
  • Capturing the client requirements and prepare technical Darwin specifications (e.g., Benefit & Darwin Specification – BDS).
  • Working with offshore configuration specialists to configure Darwin to meet customers’ needs.
  • Accountable for the quality of your own projects.
  • Supporting internal testing and client’s acceptance testing of the solution to defined requirements and specifications. Monitor testing progress to ensure successful launch of the solution to their employees.
  • Ensuring client deliverables are rendered in accordance with contractual commitments

What you need to have:

  • University degree, preferably in technology, mathematics, engineering, economics, finance, project management
  • 1 year of working experience, ideally with an Enterprise software product; or 1 year of Project Management experience, ideally managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Well-developed process, project management and analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are vital for project success
  • Goal-focused self-starter with strong can-do attitude
  • Highly collaborative work style: ability to work in a team-focused environment
  • Good understanding of / passion for technology and how it can influence lives of both our clients and their employees

What makes you stand out:

  • Other major European language (Spanish, French, German) would be a strong asset
  • Project management certifications would be an asset
  • Knowledge and prior experience of working on flexible benefits platforms.
