Mencap NI have an exciting new opportunity for a talented Digital Marketing and Social Media Officer to join their growing team. This role will suit someone who enjoys a challenging role, using their creativity in order to assist in developing and growing Mencap's social media presence across multiple channels.

The Digital Marketing and Social Media Officer role has a very important part to play across the organisation and involves lots of planning on multiple social media platforms & contributes towards Mencap's social expansion and online presence. This will include working on and supporting with managing social media channels with the aim of creating & developing unique content which will in turn improve Mencap's follower engagement.
Main Duties of Role:
  • To manage the social media content for Mencap NI
  • To support in the development of website content on Mencap's website
  • Keeping up to date with current business affairs in order to communicate this to wider Mencap business
  • To aid our digital assistant in responding to customer web enquiries and web-related complaints, and support colleagues in other teams dealing with feedback on website and online interactions
  • To work with a suite of online tools such as Google Analytics, Impact Stack, Dot Digital, Hot Jar, Drupal and sleek note.
  • To work alongside people with a learning disability to co-author content and ensure all content is accessible and fit for purpose.

Person specification:
  • Proven experience in the development of organisations social media platforms
  • Proven experience of working with websites and updating content
  • To have effective communications skills at all levels
  • To be a self-starter and be able to use creativity to come up with new ideas
  • Preferably a CIM level 4 or equivalent experience
  • Experience of social media management platforms
