We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and reports and providing administrative support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, numerical, communication skills, have attention to detail and experience with bookkeeping software (preferably Xero)
Responsibilities Include:
Successful and efficient management of the Sales ledger and credit control function
Debt management - Liaising with external clients by telephone, letter and email on payment of overdue invoices and invoicing queries
Raising and sending of sales ledger invoices
Weekly analysis and reporting of sales ledger
Prepare and circulate debtors analysis on a weekly basis
Following up resolution of disputed invoices and remittance queries
Invoice processing on Xero and in house bespoke invoicing module
Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts with variance analysis on excel
Management of client’s pocket money accounts
Entering various expenses relating to clients i.e Raising Cheques, Updating, Emailing Solicitor, dealing with queries, invoicing etc
Ad hoc analysis of quotes in relation to utilities, waste management etc.
Assisting with in house Payroll management system
Hands-on experience with MS Excel
Book keeping Qualification preferred but not essential
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
Preferred experience of having worked or currently working in the care sector and experience of liaising with the local authorities and local health economies.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 - 30 per week
Salary: From £15.00 per hour
