We are currently looking for a Senior Active Travel Consultant to join our West Region team based at our London and/or Slough office. The position itself will include, but not be limited to:

To support senior staff, and help manage schemes, providing technical support for a wide range of project types and consultancy commissions focusing primarily on active travel schemes of various size, scope and complexity.
Project Manage and lead on active and sustainable travel projects for a variety of clients – being responsible for project delivery, costs and client satisfaction.
Provide weekly monitoring information against key indicators. Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system Liaise with other Project Centre staff.
Check output produced by more junior staff in terms of reports/drawings/ graphics etc. Assist in developing Quality Assurance systems and procedures in the service area.
Respond to client and customer enquiries when necessary and ensuring that their needs are met.

Our ideal candidate will have but not limited to:

Relevant Degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualifications.
Membership of a professional institution (e.g. MILT, MICE or MCIHT) or aiming towards. Consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification.
A minimum of 5 year’s relevant experience.
Sound understanding of current active travel thinking, which includes encouraging cycling and walking in line with national targets, combined with some more traditional highways and transportation techniques and principles, and/or a track record in transport planning, design and/or delivery.
Expertise in AutoCAD design highly desirable.
Knowledge of cycle infrastructure design standards and current best practice.
