Project Centre, part of Marston Holdings, is a leading design consultancy passionate about creating places that are attractive, innovative, and sustainable. Our approach to integrated placemaking, where we work together in multi-disciplinary teams to provide solutions that are well thought-out and sustainable, produces award winning results. Led by a forward-thinking leadership team, we follow a people-centric management approach and were named CIHT’s Employer of the Year in 2021.
With a growing pipeline of new clients and projects we are undergoing an exciting growth period. We are looking to expand our Landscape & Urban Design service by recruiting an Associate Urban Designer who will contribute to and support the growth trajectory. The Associate will identify and support opportunities for growth and lead on multiple projects with responsibility for design quality, technical delivery and financial control.
The position requires those with the capability to develop and run new initiatives and actively pursue opportunities through business development and will involve developing strong relationships with existing and new clients. The role specifically requires detailed knowledge and experience of the landscape and urban design industry and the ability to develop and initiate schemes from feasibility through to completion (through all RIBA stages). The day-to-day supervision and management of technical staff and the co-ordination of resources and projects also forms a key part of the role.
Candidates are expected to be currently operating in a similar role or have sufficient, demonstrable overall experience of at least 12 years in urban design (particularly urban design studies and strategies related to the public realm) as well as landscape architecture, and knowledge on how to work with local authorities in public realm/landscape projects. Based in our London office, you will use your experience and industry knowledge to develop and grow individuals and teams, deliver high quality projects and services, support the bidding process, add value, identify opportunities to develop and establish long term relationships with existing and new clients.
We recognise our greatest strength is the people we employ, and we are committed to developing talent and providing staff with the skills and knowledge they need to not only do their job well now, but to equip them for life as their careers evolve. Our staff say our people and our diversity are our biggest strengths and our Equality and Inclusion Group and Women’s Network are ensuring that inclusion is at the heart of our policies, processes, and practices. As standard we offer flexible working to everyone and the ability to work remotely when needed. Project Centre is a people focused organisation, we care about our colleagues and help every employee attain healthy work-life harmony.
If you are interested in making a real difference and want to work with an ambitious organisation and high calibre colleagues whilst advancing your career, then Project Centre could be the place for you.
The role comes with the following package and benefits:
  • 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Private Health Cover + BUPA
  • Continued Professional Development and Training

  • Flexible Working Environment
  • An attractive pension scheme
