Position Overview & Specifications

Our remarkable Planning teams deliver the products our customers want, to wherever they want them to be, be that online or instore. We’re redefining our Supply Chain processes to enable data-driven decision-making, and we need you to help drive tangible business outcomes!

We now have an exciting opportunity for an End-to-End Technical Data Analyst to join our End To End Planning, Reporting & Analytics Team. This role will work as part of the cross-functional project team responsible for redefining how Clothing & Home manages the end-to-end ordering and stock flow from factory to customer. This project is one of the most important initiatives in our strategic drive to modernise our Supply Chain to drive better stock availability, from faster stock turn, enabling lower cost and more effective/efficient teams. The role will be responsible for providing technical support to the project team to roll out a new system and way of working and to develop capability for merchandising teams in line level forecasting and inventory management for Clothing & Home.

An overview of what you'll be involved in:-

  • Extracting, redefining and preparing large datasets for analytical analysis using SQL/Big Data tools and techniques
  • Driving visibility and process improvement through building visualisations and dashboards that translate raw data into practical insight, metrics and recommendations. Utilising best-in-class practices and user-friendly solutions such as PowerBI.
  • Building strong relationships with key partners across the business including Merchandisers, Buyers, Commercial Planning Teams and Supply Chain. To provide ongoing support to relevant business areas in the data and analytics space to drive the culture of data-driven decision making
  • Supporting the End-to-End Development Manager on upskilling across the business through engagement and learning sessions, huddles and other activities.
  • Working independently on analytics and reporting tasks and projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring robustness and sustainability of the data solution
  • Proactively identifying data and process enhancement opportunities, evaluating various initiatives through data-driven approaches, and supporting long-term strategies

We are looking for someone who is adept at telling stories through data and thinks creatively about problems and can support our decision makers’ with business-related questions using the data sets available. They will also need to have hands-on experience of working with complex Big Data sets and proficient in SQL. They will also need:

  • Advanced Power BI (or other) dashboard, reporting and visualisation building experience To be Proficient in PowerBI visualisation tools
  • Clear and concise communication style, able to simplify and explain complicated concepts to senior audiences.
