Shipwright

Marine Resources are seeking boat builders/shipwrights for our long standing client on the south coast.

Whether you are a time served shipwright or an experienced sailor with strong practical skills on boats, this is great opportunity to join a dynamic business working on high-end vessels in a company holding an enviable reputation in yachting.

This is a very diverse role which can see you hand laying teak decks and woodwork tasks through to upgrading deck gear and installing glazing.

With multiple, diverse projects running simultaneously, you will consistently be stimulated and able to utilise your marine knowledge while working alongside some of the best in the business!

Duties can include:
· General shipwright tasks
· Fitting interior bulkheads and interior panels as well as interior components/ fixtures.
· External fittings including; winches, cleats, windows, catches & hatches
· Teak deck install and re-caulking decks .
· Bonding different materials together and have a good understanding of the prep
requirements to produce a quality job.
· Fit deck hatches with a sound understanding of hinges, gas rams and seals.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

· Experience of working in the luxury yacht industry.
· Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
· Good team player and excellent communicator.
· Understanding of quality processes.
· Ability to listen, understand & follow instructions.

Based in Gosport, travel abroad made be required when needed.
