Position Overview & Specifications
The Company
Marathon Belting Limited is part of the Heimbach group of companies, and a market leader in specialised heavy industrial woven textiles.
We are currectly looking for an experienced warehouse operative working:
40 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 16:45pm & Friday 07:30am – 12:30pm
Role comprises of:
- Operation of inspection frames
- Cutting materials to specification
- Adhering to and following internal quality and inspection procedures
- Repairing and finishing products
- Hand and machine sewing, cutting, dipping and baking of products
- Operating testing equipment
- Completion of Production order paperwork
- Liaising with Sales and Shipping departments
- Updating SAP database
- Monitor stock levels
- Packaging goods in a range of materials
- Dispatching goods to freight forwarders
- Manual handling and the use of mechanical lifting aids
- Drive forklift truck to load and unload goods
- General housekeeping/cleaning
- Unload deliveries of raw materials from vans
- Observe all health & safety and hygiene rules
***As an aviation secure site, a background check including basic disclosure is required for this role.***
Skills Required
· Reliable and enthusiastic.
· Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
· Able to work to given tolerances and measurements
· An organised team player with strong communication skills
· Keen eye for detail with a high level of accuracy
· Ability to work to tight deadlines
· Ability to communicate at all levels with good oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of weaving processes would be advantageous
· ability to drive a forklift truck (driving licence required for road deliveries)
· Excellent health and safety knowledge and practices
· This is a physical heavy lifting role with some outside work involved.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £9.50-£9.92 per day
