Plumber:

The Malhotra Group is a very successful family run business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Our portfolio of properties consists of Care Homes, Hotels, Bar’s, Restaurants and commercially leased shops.

We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to carry out reactive and planned maintenance to these properties

REPORTING TO: Maintenance Manager

WORKING HOURS: Full time 30+ hours per week

SALARY: To be negotiated depending on experience

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

• To carry out day to day reactive maintenance on the buildings within the Groups portfolio in order to ensure that the Estate is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order.
• To carry out Pre Planned maintenance to ensure that the Group is compliant with all current Legislation.
• To assist with Minor works projects carried out by the Maintenance Department in upgrading the Groups properties.
• Liaise with Maintenance Manager or delegated Staff Member regarding maintenance work to be carried out.
• Undertake driving duties between properties and to collect necessary materials carry out the repairs.
• Be ‘On Call’ for advice/action in any emergencies which may arise out of hours during the early evening hours of weekdays.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Ideally having knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations
• Good communication skills
• Confident team player
• Clean driving license
• Willingness to receive training
• Satisfactory DBS check
• Ability to work using own initiative
