Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for Machine Operatives

Days £11.35 up to £12.15 per hour based on experience; Overtime £14.47

Nights £12.23 up to £13.19 per hour based on experience; Overtime £21.48

Location: Uttoxeter, ST14 7BT

Immediate start

No experience needed; full training provided

12h shift Days from 07:00am to 19:00pm or Nights from 19:00pm to 07:00am

Mach Recruitment is recruiting for several Machine Operatives to work in a large food production and distribution site in Uttoxeter, ST14 7BT.

The role:

As a Machine Operative, you will be working within a food production environment and your duties will be as followed:

Checking production programs to understand what products are running and any possible product changeovers that may happen during the shift.
Carry out pre start checks, guards & E-stops, and complete the relevant paperwork.
Check magnets and rejection systems are working, and biscuit weight is as it should be, complete and sign appropriate paperwork
Check area for health & safety hazards
Changing reels of wrapping film of up to approximately 9.4kgs in weight (lifting above shoulder height)
Ensure regular communication with the rest of the team.
Monitor machine operation, check packets for quality, biscuit position, packet seals and codes.

About you:

As a Machine Operative, you will have the following skills and experience:

Good communications skills
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Able to move around, lift reels & boxes, move product with hand-driven pump truck
Able to work in hot or cold environment - Due to this being a bakery, the ambient temperature can be extreme – both hot or cold – depending on location.
Able to travel to ST14 7BT
