Junior Project Manager

This is a hybrid role, balancing working from home and spending time in the office in St Ives, with your colleagues, team, and internal stakeholders.

Magdalene is a leading telecom services supplier offering a complete end to end service across the UK and Ireland. Magdalene provides specialist services to our clients in the fixed, mobile and utilities infrastructure networks for both public and private sectors of the market. Our services include acquisition, design, construct, rigging, first line maintenance, managed services, capital project delivery, complete network outsourcing, smart metering, and satellite solutions.

The role & responsibilities:

You will also support and engage closely with the customer’s project team. The Project Manager will be the single point of contact for all deliverables within the projects, meet required quality levels, budgets, and timescales, utilising the Magdalene Project Management methodology.

You will:

• Managing Projects with a variety of products.
• Typically managing several concurrent projects at a time, dependent on size and complexity.
• Project ownership from Project Initiation through to Customer Operations
• Manage all communications on the project
• At a minimum host a weekly internal and external customer call, with face-to-face customer meetings as needed.
• Provide regular internal reports and external customer reports when requested
• Monitor the project using MS Project and ITSM.
• Identify and Manage Risks, Issues, Actions and Dependencies throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Cost Tracking, Budget, and Forecasting. Ensuring the business and customer know when to expect charges/revenues
• Adhere to Change Control Procedure
• Report time spent on the project against what has been sold to the customer
• Pass Gate Control Checks to ensure Quality standards are being adhered to
• Assist with Project Methodology improvement, suggesting and improving the fast-paced environment

What we need from you.

Desirable

• Will be skilled and experienced in the Microsoft Office suite
• Strong understanding of H&S regulations and ability to implement on Telecoms projects.
• Understanding of CDM (2015)
• Confident and able to liaise and influence across all levels within the Business, the Customer, and suppliers with proven in experience in managing challenging stakeholders
• A background in the telecommunications industry
