Executive Officer (Strategy Delivery)


Salary from £48,196 to £55,718 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £62,053 pa inclusive of London allowance


The Executive Officer (Strategy Delivery) is based in the LSE’s Executive Office. Working as part of a team, you will provide high-level strategic support and advice to LSE’s President and their senior leadership team to ensure the delivery of the School’s operational and strategic goals.

The role is varied and fast-paced. You will facilitate and contribute to the planning of key projects and strategic initiatives across the Vice Presidents’ portfolio in support of the delivery of the School’s strategy: LSE 2030. You will undertake research and analysis, making recommendations to support strategic decision making.

Candidates should have:
  • Able to provide high quality, facilitative support to senior leadership teams including framing of issues, options and recommendations, and driving progress against actions.
  • A good awareness of the HE context, wider political scene and big issues facing UK higher education leaders including understanding of external and internal regulatory and legal requirements
  • Highly developed relationship management skills, able to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • A commitment to building and contributing to networks both internally and externally.
  • The ability to manage ambiguity in a complex, fast-changing environment.

The LSE Executive Office currently operates a hybrid working policy: staff work at least 60% of their week on campus during term time, with a discretionary reduction to 40% during School holiday periods.
