Workshop Assistant (Screen Printer)

Logo Leisurewear is an independent, family-run clothing screen printers in Bideford. Due to recent growth we're looking to expand our team with some super enthusiastic new team members who are looking for a hands on, creative job role as a Workshop Assistant.

We're looking for energetic and bright individuals who want to learn about all aspects of screen printing from sales to artwork design, screen making and Manual and Automatic screen printing.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given. We're looking for both part-time and full-time team members and offer flexibility in working hours.

The role is fast paced and deadline driven where an eye for detail is essential and good problem solving skills an advantage.

Duties will include

• Preparing screens
• Cleaning and recycling screens
• Printing garments on mid-scale carousel machinery
• Work alongside colleagues to problem-solve and plan current jobs
• Meticulously analysing the quality of designs
• Being on the lookout for potential new clients
• Assist with the creation of artwork designs
• Some heavy lifting and equipment maintenance

You will be taught how to coat a screen with light sensitive emulsion, how to expose a screen and determine the correct mesh count for a print job, how to rinse and dry a screen and then prepare it for the printing.

Hours: 12-38 per week (Full-time and Part-time available)

Salary: Up to £19,000.00 per year
