ABOUT US

We are London’s most iconic Italian delicatessen and restaurant, with locations across London. First opened in 1944, Lina Stores is known for its fresh, handmade pasta, meats, cheeses, antipasti and many more products — all imported from Italy! Guests can enjoy our Italian dishes in our restaurant and take away the ingredients from our deli to recreate their Italian feast at home. We also have an online shop which allows customers to order online quickly and easily with seamless deliveries straight to their front door. All of this of course requires preparation, which is all done in our very own Lina Cucina in Peckham, where we develop our high-quality Italian recipes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in holding fully responsible for the management of the restaurant kitchen. You will assist in the management of the team, to ensure efficiency, quality, and cleanliness, whilst maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere. You will train and coach the team ensuring they deliver to their true potential. You will be serving high-quality handmade ‘modern and traditional’ Italian recipes dishes, such as Artisan Pastas and Fresh Foods, whilst assisting with the responsibility of the food management ordering system and personally upholding and training excellent HS and food hygiene standards.

YOU ARE

A hard-working professional chef, with exceptional cooking skills and a passion for Italian Food. Previous experience in team training and management is essential, alongside previous experience working in a quality kitchen. You will hold a minimum level 2 HS/Food Hygiene certificates. A strong work ethic is essential, alongside flexibility and a willingness to work as part of a strong team. Italian speaking would be advantageous, but not essential.
