Machine Mover / Rigger / Slinger

Job Title: Machine Mover / Rigger / Slinger

Based in the North West.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced machine mover to join our team. As a machine mover, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of heavy machinery and equipment, both within our facility and at customer sites.

Responsibilities:

Operate Gantry systems, forklifts, compact cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move machinery and equipment.

Ensure that all equipment is properly secured and stable during transport.

Use rigging techniques to lift and move equipment.

Ensure that all safety procedures are followed at all times.

Maintain and inspect all equipment before and after each use.

Communicate with customers to ensure that all equipment is moved to the correct location and in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of all equipment moved and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed.

Qualifications preferred but not essential:

GCSE Maths and English

CPCS trained or competent operator card

Experience in machine moving or related field

Knowledge of rigging techniques and heavy equipment operation

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods of time

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold

Ability to work in tight spaces and at heights
