The Role

To produce high quality design layout drawings for equipment installations at the required specification and compliance.

You will be using computer assisted design/drafting software to create, amend and finalise layout drawings including layout and associated construction drawings.

We require that you have the ability to interact at all levels, including customer design architects and building contractors.

Recreating sketches from the sales force into a professional, detailed and accurate drawing.

You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining an organised file system for all drawings and associated templates for ease of use.

Working hours for this position - Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm / 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am to 11am

Key Accountabilities and Skills required…

• 
  We welcome graduates, school/college leavers, or junior Design Engineers to apply for this role as training will be provided - but you must have some background in Design Engineering
• Experience in the use of CAD design software, equivalent degree or college education is considered
• Customer focus attitude with a willingness to learn and progress in this role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• IT literacy

  Autodesk Advanced Steel 3D Design package
• AutoCAD or similar 3D package essential
• Bespoke development of fabrication detail for Structural & Architectural metal work
• Developing 3D CAD models for Steels fabrication for commercial/residential extensions and new build housing.
• Fabrication detail for production
• Procurement of material
• Pricing of design projects
• Admin
• Plasma cutting setting
