Position Overview & Specifications

Lancaster University Students’ Union provides excellent services and opportunities to support and inspire our diverse population of over 15,000 students to make the most of their experiences at University. Our Finance function supports the organisation, ensuring timely and effective processing of our finances- and delivering appropriate management information for the leadership to drive our objectives.

Following the recent postholder securing an exciting new post, we are now looking for an efficient, competent, people focussed Accounts Assistant to join the team supporting both our students and our staff in all aspects of accounts administration.

To be successful in this role, you will be eager to deliver a consistent high level of customer focus- working with staff, our external contacts and students on a daily basis. You will have strong organisational skills, an understanding of the demands and requirements of a finance function, and will be comfortable working flexibly with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.

Your role will involve the day-to-day processing of financial transactions and responding to finance related issues. To be responsible for assigned month end tasks including certain balance sheet reconciliations
