Industrial Painter

KPJ Group are looking for an Industrial Painter to join a metal fabrication company based in Hazel Grove, Stockport. This is a company that specialises in the design and manufacturing of high-quality metal products for a wide range of industries.

What’s on offer?

• £12.00 - £14.00 per hour
• Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

What will you be doing as an Industrial Painter?

• Preparing metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure that the paint adheres properly and provides a smooth finish
• Applying paint using various methods such as spraying, brushing, or rolling, to achieve the desired finish and colour for the metalwork
• Coordinating with other trades: Working closely with other trades, such as metal fabricators and welders, to ensure that their work is coordinated and completed in the correct sequence
• Inspecting painted surfaces to ensure that they meet the required quality standards, and making any necessary touch-ups or corrections
• Maintaining and cleaning painting equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition and ready for the next job
• Keeping accurate records of the type of paint used, the amount used, and the surfaces painted, to ensure that the company meets its quality control and regulatory obligations
• Following safety procedures and guidelines to ensure their safety and that of their colleagues, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices

What do you need?

• Previous painting/brushwork experience
• Fettling experience (desirable)
