The role:


In this position, you will report to the Local Communications Manager and is responsible for conveying the organization's internal and external Digital communications. This role corresponds with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments. You will also be responsible for executing the Regional Delivery team’s digital communication program in the local market alongside creating and executing aligned local tactics. Tactics may include social media (content creation, UGC and community management), influencer management, digital advertising in relevant media. Duties will also include the communication of the brands and their activities, such as within the Academies, Education Events, Special Events, Customer Programs, customer features and other topics as appropriate. You may be required to manage agency and vendor relationships as needed.


What you will do:

  • Localise the Regional Delivery team’s initiative digital toolbox alongside identifying, developing and executing local content through the local influencers (e.g. beauty), industry influencers (e.g. stylists) and amplifying digital comms of education and sales teams.
  • Localisation of the Regional Delivery team’s strategy regarding social media calendars, including leveraging the deployed portfolio of assets necessary to deliver the local calendar year plan. Support where here required the local social media calendar in line with regionally provided guidance and assets.
  • Create a variety of local digital content and materials to amplify Regional plans
  • Aim to design content to deliver increased local digital reach, engagement and communities. Ensure content is aligned with Regional Delivery team’s guidance and Design team’s global standards.
  • Supporting and ensuring holisticity with wider external and internal plans and anything else as required to support commercial comms needs.
  • Create the local Digital conversation calendars to deliver local goals, Regional Delivery team toolboxes and NPD/initiative plan.
  • Manage any agency involvement in the calendar strategy, and liaise with Regional digital manager to enable local execution in Regionally led/ owned calendars.
  • Own the local community management for all owned digital social platforms.
  • Responsible for the overall content alignment and localization of Brand Websites in partnership with Global Communications and Regional Marketing.
  • Collaborate with the local Sales teams to build key salon partnerships and relationships
  • Deliver BIC analysis, measurement and reporting on our digital activities whilst bringing the outside in.
  • Identifying and maximising opportunities to create content with our salon partners for the benefit of both the salon, stylist and Kao from a credentialing perspective.
  • Report monthly to the local commercial teams and to the local LT and regional teams on key successes, learnings and future opportunities/ help needed, whilst sharing key competitor insights for share and reapply

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in brand communications across digital
  • Proven expertise in building brands through social and digital marketing
  • Immersed and fluent in the latest digital and PR tools
  • Luxury, Professional Health and Beauty Experience an advantage
