ABOUT THE ROLE

Journey is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our London team. Your mission is to grow the fame of Journey and our reputation and deliver new business growth globally.

Level: An experienced intermediate or senior.
Location: Central London, with work-from-home flexibility (part home, part in-office).
A small-but-growing London team with head office in New Zealand.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Growth and fame.
  • Inbound lead generation: creating and refining marketing activity to support inbound new business enquiries.
  • Outbound lead generation: creating and refining the outbound new business acquisition process, including account-based marketing.
  • Executing and building on Journey’s FY23 marketing strategy.
  • Content distribution on owned channels.
  • Content production: self-generated copywriting (especially articles), and co-ordination of video, graphic and other written content.
  • External communications, PR, brand.
  • Client-facing events and third-party events.
  • Award submissions: managing the award programme to win international awards for Journey.
  • Ensure Journey is top-of-mind when a future or current customer is ready to buy the products and services we sell; and that employees want to work for us.
  • Journey reach + awareness: building a brand and digital asset (website) that has high page view traffic and SEO / SERP (e.g. domain ranking, keyword searches, Google front pages on key pages).
  • Journey brand reputation: the perception of Journey in the market for core customers and potential employees.
  • CRM health.
  • Marketing budget.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • You will need to have 5+ years of proven experience in a marketing role. Your skillset may include some or all of content creation, social media management and digital marketing/marketing automation, plus you'll need to have some traditional marketing experience in the mix.
  • At Journey you will have sole-charge of leading and executing the Journey marketing strategy, which means that you'll need to be self-driven, proactive, and a ‘hands-on’ marketer. No-one is great at everything, so please let us know what your strengths are, and where you may need additional support (within Journey or from external suppliers).
  • A high level of written and spoken English is essential as copywriting and content creation will be a core part of this role.
  • Being a ‘Radiator’ is one of Journey’s core values and a non-negotiable for everyone on the Journey team. That means you'll be someone who brings energy and positivity to their work and team interactions.
  • You will have high attention-to-detail and be disciplined in your structure and approach.
  • You will have a passion for scale-ups and for digital design and technology.
  • As our head office is in New Zealand there will be a requirement to attend some late night or early morning meetings.
