Contract Support Engineer

What you will do

Working within the Global Marine and Navy Business Unit and reporting to the contract support manager you will handle cost estimate and product quality of the solutions proposed to our Marine & Naval customers. You will participate in the procurement strategy for main buys, lead on export control and support the sales team by producing cost estimate design solution.

How you will do it

• Build cost estimates based on technical solution designed by Design team

• Creating and sending request for quotations from small component items to sub-assemblies, complete units, and services

• Supplier quotation negotiations in line with project requirements

• Raising all project purchase requisitions ensuring correct wording, T&C's, approvals, and any payment

• Manage product non-conformity

• Research & benchmarking for current suppliers that supply projects

• Research for new suppliers that can competitively meet project requirements

• Participate to supplier audits

• Participate to internal KOM and internal & external audit

• Creating and checking packing lists to customer requirements

• Creating commercial invoices in line with export legislation

• International shipments (Courier & freight forwarding) as to project procedure

• Manage export control license request and follow-up

• Monitor and enforce export licensing process

What we look for

• Experience working as a buyer or project coordinator with relevant history of supplier management

• Degree educated ideally in business or procurement

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience working to deadlines and exceptionally high standards of work

• Computer literate
