About us
John Palin (Wholesale) Ltd is a supplier and distributor of Fresh Produce to the East Midlands area. Customers include, schools, universities, NHS, care homes, factories and farm shops.
An opportunity has arisen for a HR & Payroll Administrator to join a well-established family run business in Tansley on a part time basis.
Duties include:
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, liaising with the Operations Director.
- Handle employment relations issues including grievances, disciplinaries, absence and employee welfare, liaising with the General Manager.
- Maintain employee records including contracts, absence, formal meetings and leaver documentation
- Set up and maintain Bright HR with employee records and training schedules.
- Prepare and process the weekly payroll for 60+ employees and ensure all mandatory reporting is completed on time, including P45, P60, P11d and RTI.
•Maintaining the company pension with Royal London, including submitting the monthly contributions.
The weekly process involves the calculating of hours worked from clock cards for various shift patterns, inputting on to Sage50 Payroll, printing reports and uploading payslips; Provide professional advice and guidance to Directors, managers, and employees regarding all people related matters liaising with Croner Consulting's advice line and using their documentation.
Provide weekly reports for the General Manager on hours worked and any sickness or absence, including back to work meetings.
As the HR & Payroll Administrator, you will have a thorough understanding of employment law.
You will also have experience of clock cards and running a weekly payroll, ideally using Sage. This is a part time role, and the hours/days can be flexible for the right person. 16-20 hours per week depending on experience.
