Warehouse Operative

About you

We are looking for an experienced warehouse operator to participate in warehouse operations and activities, which consist of the checking in, picking, packing and organisation of goods. You will be working in a busy but friendly environment – the ability to have pride in your work, good communication skills, and show initiative are essential.

Whilst experience in our industry would be sought after it is more important that you are the right person for the job.

We are looking for someone who is open to learning new skills, and keen to learn about business processes and product knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

· Complete kit orders

· Picking and packing of orders whilst keeping quality standards high to ensure customer satisfaction

· Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

· Assist with the loading and offloading of vehicles

· Communicate and cooperate with your co-workers and supervisors

· Use of fork trucks and other machinery to carry out your duties

· To deal with customers on the trade counter

· Checking and actioning any customer returns against the paperwork

· Check incoming and outgoing deliveries against notes for accuracy and quality

· To perform any reasonable request from supervisors/management

· Tidy the warehouse nightly during the last 15 minutes of shift

· Accountable for ensuring that all warehouse tasks allocated to them are completed accurately and efficiently

· Ensure that all warehouse processes are always followed and adhered to

Additional Information

Work Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:30 - 4:00 & Friday 7:30 - 3:00

Holidays

20 days holiday to begin with but on commencement of your third calendar year your allowance increases to 25 days. We don't work bank holidays so aren't included in your allowance.

After 5 years of service we also offer an additional day.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £10.50 per hour
