Position Overview & Specifications
We currently have a vacancy for the position of Security Officer to work within the ISS Security team to assist in a wide range of duties
This job is subject to a 3-month probationary period. Door Supervisor / Close Protection or Security as well as a CCTV Licence are compulsory. - No exceptions
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Carrying out internal and external patrols of site, including car parks.
Respond immediately to all major emergency calls, in line with the Trust policies, co-operating fully with the emergency services as necessary.
Carry out the necessary monitoring of all security systems and equipment, alarms and door security controls in line with the specification or as and when required and to accurately complete the necessary documentation.
To respond to requests in line with the service operational policies as necessary for the effective handling of violent or unauthorised persons within the hospital premises.
Provide escorts to staff upon authorised request.
Record and report all faulty machinery, equipment or materials immediately and as per the Company/Trust policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and logs in a timely and accurate manner, as required by the Company and Trust including lost property, patrol records and incident reports.
Ensure correct and appropriate use of radio and other communication equipment at all times, in compliance with local guidelines and procedures.
Where applicable, handling cash in line with Company policy.
Ensure confidentiality, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act and in line with Company and Trust policy, where appropriate.
Report immediately, any faults or defects to Trust or Company equipment or premises, especially those which could be dangerous.
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested within the grade of the post.
This roll needs to be fully flexible (days, nights and weekends)
Salary: £11.77 per hour
