Position Overview & Specifications
Thanet Vets is a first opinion small animal veterinary practice on the south east coast. We have been providing the local community with veterinary care for over 50 years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly receptionist to join our Team. This is a full-time position and you will be required to work 35 hours per week. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and will be required to answer the telephone, book appointments, take payments and perform other administrative tasks. You will also be required on occasion to assist the Veterinary surgeon in consultation. Animal handling training will be given.
We are looking for someone with customer care experience. Experience within the veterinary industry is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Your main place of work will be at our Margate branch and at our Birchington branch and Cattery.
We operate a 4 week rota system the earliest start time is 8am and the latest finishing time is 7.30pm but your shifts will vary. You will be required to provide holiday cover for our Cattery Assistants at our Birchington branch and this may include working weekends or bank holidays on occasion. Full training at our cattery will be provided.

- Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
