We are pleased to be representing our client in Harrogate who are currently seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to join their existing Finance team. The great thing about this role is that you don't need any experience in the finance field just the willingness to learn and grow your career within accounting. This is almost unheard of so a great opportunity that won't be around for long!

The role of Junior Finance Assistant is in place to ensure the day-to-day finance duties conducted are done so to your best ability, whilst continually looking at ways to make the department more efficient in processes to support to company’s eager growth plans.

As the successful Junior Finance Assistant your duties will include:

• Daily bank management, processing and reconciliation.
• Processing customer invoices and credit notes.
• Sales ledger reconciliation and distribution of debtor statements.
• Credit control.
• Processing supplier invoices and credit notes.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Setting up new supplier and customer accounts.
• Employee expenses processing.
• Internal payroll processing.
• HMRC returns and payments.
• Timely, creation and circulation of regular finance reports to Senior Management team.
• General compliance administration.
• Any other ad-hoc work and projects as required by the business or Directors.
• Full training is provided.

Skills required:

• No experience in finance required, just the eagerness to learn
• Ability to learn new ways of working with ease
• Outstanding organisation skills
• Proficient user of MS Office
• Ability to work towards deadlines
• Team player
