Position Overview & Specifications
The role
You will be joining the Hyper Android development team.
You have excellent Kotlin skills, experience with Coroutine and are comfortable developing algorithms, working with complex data structures, and generally solving R&D type problems on Android.
You have experience writing unit and UI tests using JUnit4/5 and Espresso and strong background knowledge on Android-specific challenges: best practices, design guidelines, and so on.
What the job involves
- Researching and identifying the technology stack required to effectively implement our unique indoor positioning technology on Android.
- Designing the architecture and building the foundations of a modern Android app/SDK by writing clean, robust and efficient code.
- Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
- Contributing to wider discussions on app design, goals and company culture.

With future wearable devices - currently being built by Apple, Meta and others - the real world will become filled with rich digital overlays of information. Much like in every sci-fi movie we’ve seen, this new technology will become as useful and dependable as the internet is today.
