Position Overview & Specifications

Day Traffic Planner

Our client is recruiting for a team player, self-motivated, dedicated with the desire to succeed, improve our operations and able to offer the following .

Have experience working within a busy transport office as a traffic planner
Have a high level of communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships with drivers, suppliers, customers and team mates
Be able to problem solve and plan/route own allocated vehicles effectively
Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, TOPs, Port VBS systems.

The role would also include the following

Providing excellent customer service and communication
Ensuring vehicles are presented on time for servicing and maintenance schedules
Welcoming new and agency drivers, assisting with inductions and ensuring the relevant compliance checks are completed
Briefing and debriefing of drivers and nights team
Updating of all relevant systems
Ensuring the security of the depot is maintained and health and safety guidelines are followed
