Salary: £21,030 - £22,677

Location: Priory Road, Hull

Hours: 37 hours

Contract: Fixed term, 6 moths from appointment (With the potential to become permanent)

Do you have experience of working within a clerical role and are looking for your next challenge?

Our Professional Standards Department are looking for a Clerical Assistant to undertake a wide range of administrative and support tasks!

The post holder will provide a confidential, efficient and effective service to the public, partners and members of the police service.

Role Duties:

  • To create and maintain the Professional Standards Department database.
  • Interrogates force computer systems to understand, evaluate, cross reference and extract relevant information.
  • Provides advice and documentation on professional standards matters.
  • Identifies discrepancies in information held and takes appropriate action to amend, referring complex issues to senior personnel as appropriate.
  • Identifies emerging trends or patterns along with any issues surrounding complaints.
  • To provide an efficient and confidential administrative support.

What is Required?

  • A good standard of education sufficient to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Experience of working in a clerical role including the use of computer equipment/ Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of communicating effectively with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated environment.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Ability to summarise information quickly and accurately.
  • Awareness of the Data Protection Act.
